Privacy Policy

Last updated: 21 July 2026

EV Charger Solutions ("we", "us", "our") is an Australian business that helps homeowners organise the installation of a home EV charger by coordinating with independent licensed electrical contractors. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, and who we share it with. We handle personal information in accordance with the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

1. Information we collect

We collect personal information when you complete our free assessment form on this website, including after you click or interact with one of our Facebook, Instagram, Google or other online advertisements.

When you complete the free assessment form, we collect:

  • Your full name
  • Your mobile number
  • Your email address
  • Your postcode and derived state
  • The EV make and model you drive
  • Where you intend to charge (e.g. garage, carport, driveway)
  • Property type and electrical phase, if provided
  • Installation timeframe and any notes you choose to add

We also collect technical information automatically when you visit the site, including your IP address, device type, browser, referring page, advertising campaign data (such as the ad you clicked), and interactions with the site (via cookies, pixels, and similar technologies described below).

2. How we use your information

We use your information to:

  • Confirm we service your area and prepare your free assessment;
  • Refer your enquiry to one or more independent licensed electrical contractors in your area so they can contact you to quote and arrange installation;
  • Contact you by phone, SMS or email about your enquiry;
  • Measure and improve the performance of our advertising campaigns (including recording when an ad click leads to a submitted assessment form);
  • Improve our website, service and marketing;
  • Comply with our legal obligations.

3. Sharing your details with electricians

By submitting the assessment form, you consent to us sharing the details you provide with one or more independent licensed electrical contractors for the purpose of quoting and arranging your home EV charger installation. These contractors are independent businesses, not employees of EV Charger Solutions. They will contact you directly by phone, SMS or email using the details you provide. Each contractor is responsible for its own handling of your personal information under its own privacy policy.

4. Facebook, Meta and lead advertising

We run advertising campaigns on Facebook, Instagram and other platforms operated by Meta Platforms, Inc. ("Meta"). You may reach this site by clicking a Meta ad, completing a Meta lead form, or seeing a Meta ad after visiting our site.

To measure advertising performance and improve the relevance of our ads, we use tools including the Meta Pixel and the Meta Conversions API. These tools may collect information such as:

  • Your IP address and browser/device information;
  • Pages you view on our site and actions you take (for example, submitting the assessment form);
  • Advertising identifiers and campaign data;
  • A hashed version of your email address and/or mobile number, where you provide it, to help match ad views and conversions to Meta user accounts and to build custom audiences and lookalike audiences.

Where you submit your contact details through a Meta lead form or our website form, those details may be used to confirm the effectiveness of our ads (a "conversion event") and to show you relevant follow-up ads.

You can manage how Meta uses your information via your Facebook settings and the Meta Ad Preferences. You can also opt out of many advertising cookies via Your Online Choices AU.

5. Other advertising and analytics providers

In addition to Meta, we may use analytics and advertising providers such as Google (Google Analytics, Google Ads and similar services). These providers may collect similar technical information and use cookies or device identifiers to measure campaign performance and website usage.

6. Cookies and tracking

We use essential cookies to run the site, analytics cookies to understand how it is used, and advertising cookies (including the Meta Pixel and Google tags) to measure and improve our campaigns. You can control cookies via your browser settings. Disabling cookies may affect how the site works.

7. Marketing consent and opt-out

By submitting the assessment form, you consent to us and any referred electrical contractor contacting you by phone, SMS or email about your home EV charger installation enquiry. You can opt out of marketing contact at any time by replying STOP to an SMS, unsubscribing from an email, or contacting us directly.

8. Storage and security

Your information is stored on secure infrastructure provided by our hosting and database providers, which may process data in Australia and overseas. We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, loss and unauthorised access, but no online service can guarantee absolute security.

9. Retention

We keep your enquiry information for as long as necessary to provide the service, respond to follow-up questions, and meet our legal, tax and record keeping obligations. When no longer required, we delete or de-identify it.

10. Your rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of the personal information we hold about you, and you may withdraw consent for us to contact you at any time. To do so, email hello@evchargersolutions.com.au. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you may lodge a complaint with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the latest version.
